we store your email, logged meals, profile preferences (theme, calorie targets, dashboard settings, opt-in choices), and subscription status.

data export & deletion

you can export or delete your data at any time from your profile settings.

cookies

we use cookies in the browser for keeping track of whether you're signed in or not on any given page on the site and to persist whether you're signed in for a while so you don't have to sign in each time you visit the site. additionally, we store your theme preference (light/dark/system mode) in your browser's local storage to remember your visual preference.

analytics

we use google analytics and vercel analytics to understand how people use our site. google analytics collects anonymous usage data like page views, time spent on site, and general location (country/region). vercel analytics provides performance metrics and usage insights without requiring cookies or collecting personal data.

ai calorie suggestions

should you opt-in to using ai calorie suggestions, we use anthropic's claude to suggest calories for your meals. we don't pass any identifiable information about you to anthropic, just the name and description you write for the meal. for more on how anthropic handles data, refer to anthropic's privacy policy

subscriptions

we use stripe for managing subscriptions through one time payments, the only info stored in stripe is the invoice for your purchase.
